My grandfather and greatgrandfather farmed in Gratiot County around 1900. Apparently the spelling of their surmame was changed from Rosecrans to Rosecrance about 1910. I know this from land deeds that I saw ant my grandmother's home. I'd like to find out more about them and their relatives. I am just beginning in geneology so could use a little help to start. Some of the first names of the Rosecrance's were Levi, Jay, Jackson, Paul.

My parents have mentioned this fact about the Old Age pension records several times, but I haven't had any luck in locating them. I appreciate any leads. Thanks.
