Luther Riker was b. before 1815 in NY/NJ. By 1835 he was in MI. His location history May 1836 - Lenawee (on hillsdale co land record) Aug 1836 - Jackson (On Jackson Co, Land record) Jul 1837 - Jackson (on Hillsdale Co land record) Dec 1838 - -Somerset TWP, Hillsdale (Co history) dec 1850 - Luther Ricker of Hillsdale Co (1850 census) Aug 1860 - Luther Riker of Hillsdale Co (1860 census) Jun 1870 - Luther Riker of Isabella Co. (1870 census) One son stayed in each of the locations were he lived before he reached Isabella Co:- 1880 census information for children Arnold G - Hillsdale Co 94-28-31 Madison - Gratiot Co. 90-6-20 (sumner TWP?) Also known as ADDISON Riker. Charles - Lenawee Co. 171-9,20 (woodstock TWP) Luther does not seem to be in any of the counties, nor is his death cert in Gratiot or Isabella next to it. I am interested in finding confirmation of the fact he is a son of Samuel Riker of Caldwell, NJ who also has desc. in Kent Co. MI

I am tracing the family of Byron DAVID (1836-1908) & Sarah (1844 - 1928) of Gratiot County. His progeny are scattered about the "middle of the mitten". He purportedly ran a sawmill east of Ithaca in the latter part of the 19th century. Children were Miles, Lewis, Eva, Lovina, Ora, Nora, Roy, Frank and Scofield.

Surnames FINCH and PALMER. John Henry FINCH d.-1941 in St.Louis, Mi. Married Ida Mae PALMER, who d.-1938 in St. Louis. Ida Mae's mother's name was Diana PALMER d.-1936 in St.Louis, may have married John PALMER. Any info would be appreciated.

I am looking for information on the RANDALL Family of Gratiot, Eaton, and Wexford Counties, Michigan. Isaac RANDALL (1828-1905) and Paulena (Chase) Randall (1830-1894?), first came to Michigan from New York in about 1854. They were at North Star Township, Gratiot County, in 1856 and 1858. They were at Oneida Township, Eaton County by 1869. Paulena died in about 1894, at Mesick, Wexford County. Isaac died in 1905, at Bagnall, Wexford County. Son Charles Legrand RANDALL (1849-?) married Henrietta B. SHARON (1854-?)in 1874, at Grand Ledge, Eaton County. They resided at Wexford Township, Wexford County, before relocating to Washington. Son William Albertus RANDALL (1852-?)married Phebe A. MOSIER (1858-?)in 1875, at Oneida Township, Eaton County. Phebe was born at Danby Township, Ionia County, Michigan. William and Phebe were at Benton Township, Eaton County in 1880. In 1900, William was a widower at Wexford Township, although family tradtion claims there may have actually been a divorce here. William married "Pheobe J." in about 1901. Am particualrly interested in what became of William and Phebe as they are my great-great grandparents. Also, who was Pheobe J? What became of William and Phebe's children: Claude Walter, Hannah "Frantie", and Lena May? Son George Morgan RANDALL(1856-1924) was born at North Star, Gratiot County. He married Kate EGGLESTON (1859-?) in 1882, and settled at Wexford Township, Wexford County. Daughter Ursula Morgan RANDALL (1858- 1869) was born at North Star, Gratiot County, and died young at Odeida Township, Eaton County. Daughter Julia Amelia RANDALL (1860-?)married Edwin SALISBURY (1861-?)in 1881/2. They settled at Grand Legde, Eaton County. Daughter Mary Matilda RANDALL (1861-?)married Edwin W. RALPH (1857-?). In 1900, 1905 and 1910, they were at Reed City, Osecola County. In 1924, they were at Detroit, Wayne County. Any information on ancestry or descent of any of the above couples would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for the lost siblings to Andrew Jackson WARNER. Andrew was the son of John W. WARNER and Mary Elizabeth FLOWERS/FLOUERS. His father died while serving in the Civil War. He served in the 26th Regt., made entirely of Gratiot Co. MI Volunteers. His mother was forced to "put out" some of her children, Andrew being one of them. He had sisters named; Mary Jane, Silva A., Emma S. and Lizza C. His sisters married names may be Mrs. MANNING of Chapin, Mrs. WALTERS of Chapin, Mrs. ARMSTRONG of Oakley and Mrs. STOWELL of Eureka, Montcalm Co. Their mother; Mary E. WARNER remarried a John RUSSELL and remained in Gratiot Co. I believe Mary is buried in Oak Grove Cemetary.
