CABLE, CHAMBERS, RIRIGH posted by Nancy Lincoln on Sunday, April 13, 1997

I'm looking for information on Daniel CHAMBERS of North Shade Township, Gratiot Co. He was born Oct. 1865 in Ohio. The 1900 census says his wife, Sarah Elizabeth was born July 1868 in Michigan. They had at least 7 children in North Shade,...Twins 1890, Etta Mae 1891, Rubie 1893, Lula 1895, Ella Pearl 1899 and Gladys 1901. At the birth of one of the children, Sarah's maiden name is given as RIRIGH. The family of John and Irene CHAMBERS and at least 5 children lives nearby. John was also born in Ohio. I would like to learn more about the origins of this family and also the marriage of Etta Mae CHAMBERS b. 1891 to Walter or William A. CABLE sometime before 1914.

SPINK, SPINKS, STAEHELY posted by Colleen S. on Tuesday, April 29, 1997

I am looking for information about any SPINKS that may have lived in Gratiot county in the 1800's. I found a reference to Edson P. SPINK in a book about Gratiot county, but the information was in vol. one and only vol. two was available in my library system. I know a Hiram McCLELLAN SPINK married a Lydia Ann STAEHELY from North Shade twp in Gratiot county probably in the late 1890's, so I believe there may have been other SPINKS living there. I am hoping to find Elisha SPINK living there after 1880. If there is a death certificate on him, I would appreciate it if someone could let me know. Thanks for any help.
