The Gratiot County Historical and Genealogical Society
The Gratiot County Historical and Genealogical Society was established in 1978 to gather and preserve information of historical and genealogical value. We encourage the deposit of information in our Museum and Library, to aid genealogists in the study of county and family history, through the exchange of knowledge. The
GCHGS publishes ten newsletters a year, plus four newsletters from the Genealogical Library.
The Museum is open on Thursday or by appointment at 129 W. Center, Ithaca, MI 48847 in one of the oldest buildings in Gratiot County today, and just blocks from the County Courthouse.
