Group photo taken about 1897 - probably at a Methodist Church in Gratiot County - Ithaca? Tallest woman in back row (in front of window) is my grandmother, Matie Elizabeth Haring, who married John Alvin Davis in 1900 in Gratiot County. The man in the center is her brother, Elton E. Haring who became a well-known Methodist minister in Los Angeles. Also in the picture is Ada Houghtaling seated on the ground at the right.
